Kati began her career in the beauty industry in high school as a salon receptionist and nail technician—never intending to become a hairstylist. Encouraged by the stylists she worked alongside, she entered an apprenticeship simply for the experience, planning to use it as a way to put herself through college. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the craft, ultimately choosing the salon floor over Marine Biology—and she’s never looked back.

Throughout her career, Kati has worked in a wide range of salon environments, gaining invaluable experience, lifelong friendships, and a deep appreciation for growth through education. Her passion for learning led her into brand education, where she traveled the country teaching and inspiring fellow stylists. It was during this time that she discovered her true calling: mentoring artists, sharing knowledge, and helping others build careers they’re proud of.

In 2017, Kati joined Lunatic Fringe and immediately knew she had found her professional home. While she valued every salon she worked with along the way, Lunatic Fringe brought together everything she believes in most—intentional education, strong mentorship, a growth mindset, and an exceptional team culture, all coupled with relentless hospitality for salon guests.

Today, Kati serves as Lunatic Fringe’s Education Implementer, helping translate education into consistent, real-world practice within the salons. She is deeply passionate about creating structure, accountability and growth for our teams, while ensuring that education is not only inspiring, but actionable and career-shaping.
